About Courtney Patton
Artist Biography
A Texas-based singer/songwriter whose soulful take on classic country also applies to Americana and folk, Courtney Patton draws from a deep well of tradition, citing influences like Merle Haggard, Joni Mitchell, Don Williams, and Carole King. A native of Granbury, she released her debut album, Triggering the Flood, in 2013, with a sophomore effort, So This Is Life, arriving two years later -- in 2014 she married frequent touring partner and fellow Texas troubadour Jason Eady. Patton returned to the studio in 2017 to lay down tracks for her third studio long-player, What It's Like to Fly Alone, which was released independently in February 2018. ~ James Christopher Monger
