In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember playing drums in my father’s church for the first time at 4 years old. I saw the drum set and somehow was already convinced that I could play. Seemed like a miracle to everyone else, but very normal to me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Count Bass D, Cbd Count Bass D, Instantly New Count Bass D, Walter Dwight I chose these three albums as my favorite because I always prefer my most recent work. Seeing that this is my 30th year releasing albums, these will change as time goes on. I’m grateful to still be active.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Long Goodbyes” I feel this song is special because I’m an emcee first. This song sets me drastically apart from all other emcees.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career was working with MF DOOM. I’m not sure Hip Hop or the art world in general will be the same after the impact he left. To be able to work with him for 6 years is beyond memorable, it’s historic.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don’t have a bucket list. I’ve only strived to be a viable artist as a result of consistency and a dedication to the craft. Whatever is ahead, I will be grateful.
