Cookiee Kawaii is the stage name of Vanice Palmer, a club music artist known for her viral smash “Vibe (If I Back It Up).”
∙ The daughter of a house music DJ, Kawaii started making music on the New Jersey club music scene in 2011, shortly after graduating high school.
∙ She released her first album, the R&B-oriented Zen, in 2016.
∙ Her club banger “Vibe (If I Back It Up)” went viral in 2019, when it became popular background music for dance videos uploaded by social media users.
∙ In the wake of the success of “Vibe (If I Back It Up),” Kawaii cut a remix version with rapper Tyga, which was included on her 2020 album, Club Soda, Vol. 2.
