A spirited and hook-driven electro-indie rock outfit from Bristol, England, Coasts formed in 2011 around the talents of Chris Caines (vocals), Liam Willford (guitar), James Gamage (bass), David Goulbourn (keyboards), and Ben Street (drums). The band issued a debut single, "Stay," in 2012, which received praise from Welsh BBC broadcaster Huw Stephens. A bout of extensive touring and high-profile festival appearances followed, culminating in a pair of critically acclaimed singles ("A Rush of Blood" and "Oceans") that drew comparisons to bands like Two Door Cinema Club, Foals, and Phoenix.
