About Club Dogo
Artist Biography
Milan-based hip-hop trio Club Dogo emerged from the Sacre Scuole crew, a famous Italian hip-hop institution. Club Dogo's 2000 debut record, MC Al Cubo, was followed by 2003's immediately successful Mi Fist, which became one of Italy's best-selling independent records of that year. On the double-feature LP PMC vs. Club Dogo, the trio performed opposite the popular Porzione Massiccia crew of Bologna. Released in 2006, Penna Capitale established Club Dogo as Milan's voice of "gang urbana" culture, and 2007's Vile Denaro was their first record released by a major label, EMI. They moved to Universal for 2009's Dogocrazia, which featured five hit singles. Their traditional-sounding Che Bello Essere Noi followed a year later, while 2012's Noi Siamo il Club found them experimenting with dance music. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
