Artist Biography
Hailing from the small Scottish city of Perth, the duo Clouds' -- Calum MacLeod and Liam Robertson -- first efforts found a home on British label Blood Music in 2010 with Liquid's mix of electro house and crunchy techno finding its way to the ears of Canadian DJ and producer Tiga, who signed the duo to his Turbo Recordings label. Releasing Matter in 2011 on the digital-only arm of Turbo, Clouds' first proper release for the label came in 2012 with the 12" Optic. At the beginning of 2013, Turbo rented a remote Scottish farmhouse for the duo so they could write their debut album, Ghost Systems Rave. The album brought together all of the duo's influences, from IDM and rave, to techno and their electro roots. ~ Rich Wilson
