Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Blood Thicker Than Honey” This is the first song in a series of singles that got me writing solo again. I needed to get back to this, and this song is hard to listen to for me. It's about dealing with a cancer diagnosis and the things they were telling me about it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We (Braid) played Riot Fest in Chicago in the summer of 2023. It was amazing to play with so many amazing artists that I grew up listening to & some new artists, as well. Awesome to play my hometown, and have my kids be able to stand sidestage.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd like to start playing out solo and hit up some of the same festivals that some of my other bands have done. It would be excellent to open for some of my old and new friends' bands. I'd like to play on a cruise ship sometime.
