Yorkshire-based rapper Chiedu Oraka mixes conscientious poetry with lively, grime beats. Alongside his musical endeavors, Oraka has made a name for himself as a social activist, regularly supporting and engaging with various projects around his hometown of Hull. He regularly traveled to London, where he was exposed to U.K. garage and early grime. That inspiration fed into his debut single, 2014's "Dumb and Dumber," which laid the foundation for his sound and his debut EP, 2017's 21st Kid. Soon after the EP, he released the "Helly Hansen" freestyle, the first in an enduring series of freestyle tracks. Another EP, Council Estate Confidence, emerged in 2022. Oraka's debut album, Misfit, emerged in 2024.
