• Lawrence comes from a famous—though not musical—family. Her mother is sitcom actress Christa Miller, and her father is TV producer Bill Lawrence, creator of Scrubs.
• Lawrence began taking piano lessons at age 5 and wrote her first song when she was 12, the same year she began teaching herself guitar.
