After an abortive attempt to position the then-teenage Charlie Sexton as a pretty-boy cross between Billy Idol and Duran Duran on his glossy 1985 debut, PICTURES FOR PLEASURE, the Austin native shored up his blues-rock roots as a sideman for the likes of David Bowie, Lucinda Williams, and Don Henley. Sexton also released several solo albums, most notably 1995's UNDER THE WISHING TREE and 2005's CRUEL AND GENTLE THINGS. Sexton also served as Bob Dylan's lead guitarist between 1999 and 2003, and was a member of the short-lived bands Will and the Kill and the Arc Angels.
