Charif Megarbane is a prolific Lebanese producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose globally oriented music spans Middle Eastern psychedelia, Italian library music, Afro-funk, soul, hip-hop, and numerous other genres. A musical polymath with a knack for creating sounds evocative of earlier eras, his career began in the late 2000s as the mastermind of projects like Heroes & Villains, Cosmic Analog Ensemble, and Trans-Mara Express which earned him a reputation both for his musical diversity and prodigious output. He has issued dozens of releases on his own Hisstology imprint, and later began recording music under his own name for Germany's Habibi Funk label, including 2023's Marzipan and 2025's Hawalat.
