Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I started actually writing music, I didn't do much of my own engineering until I decided to try for myself. The first time I learned how to use vocal effects, I had a ball! I spent hours just figuring how to sing with the effects.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bryson Tiller, T R A P S O U L J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Kem, Intimacy (Deluxe Edition) When I started writing my own music, these artists inspired a lot of aspects of my career. Being a few of my favorite artists growing up, I took pride in trying to create imagery within my music or produce visuals that exhibit the artistic vision.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Black Queens” "Black Queens" was the last song on my debut project 'Hidden Flowers'. I had no idea on what impact that song was going to make on my career. This song gave a direction and motivation to expand my audience to different age groups and genres.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being able to actually say I continuously create, write and produce music as more than a hobby is truly a blessing. But being featured on WUSA 9 for my project 'Nobody's Perfect' and seeing my music video on national television was unreal.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to collaborate with a lot more artists from the DMV and put together a collaborative project. We don't get a lot of attention in this area for our talents in various genres. Of course, receiving awards for my song are always on my list.
