About Cassie Ramone
Artist Biography
Born Cassie Grzymkowski, this New Jersey-born, Brooklyn-based songwriter took the stage name Cassie Ramone around the time she co-founded Brooklyn noise pop trio Vivian Girls in 2007. As guitarist/vocalist for the band, Ramone wrote a good deal of the band's material and was a constant member through their three albums and countless tours that took them all over the world before they broke up in 2014. Ramone's solo debut was a collection of spare, home-recorded indie folk that featured cameos on several tracks from Ariel Pink on bass. The Time Has Come saw release in the fall of 2014. The lo-fi, all-covers holiday LP Christmas in Reno followed a year later. ~ Fred Thomas
