Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing my first piano recital at 7 years old in Great Falls, MT. My mother traded laundry services for piano lessons for me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dire Straits, Communique Remastered Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon, Sixty Six Steps Pierre Bensusan, Altiplanos These are 3 fingerstyle guitar players that have influenced my playing for my entire career.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Valley of the Chiefs” This song is based on a true story that my great grandmother gave to me at my Crow naming ceremony when I was about 4 years old.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing the Paris Jazz Festival with my musical colleague and friend, Pura Fé.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To create a recording for film and to write my own screen play.
