About C Biz
Artist Biography
C Biz burst onto the UK rap scene in the mid-2010s fully developed, with an arsenal of bite-your-head-off one-liners and a knack for rapping honestly about his checkered past without glorifying it. His audacious debut single, 2016’s “The Game’s Mine,” blended the maximal, brooding piano of Southern hip-hop with the stuttering grime cadences of London MCs and coke raps reminiscent of American hip-hop duo Clipse. But the stories that populated “The Game’s Mine” proved all too real when C Biz was charged with murder that same year. He was acquitted of the crime, and his release reinforced his commitment to the rap game; he would drop 2017’s The Game’s Mine to widespread critical acclaim. C Biz has continued his run as an elite MC on singles like 2021’s “Dope Boy (Obsession2),” which finds him slowing down his flow to a snail’s pace, carefully enunciating every word as if to make the most of every moment of his freedom.
