About Bugz In the Attic
Artist Biography
A West London collective synonymous with the jazz- and breaks-influenced style of electronica known as “broken beat,” Bugz in the Attic consists of a loosely-knit core of many prominent producers from that scene, including Afronaught, Seiji, Daz-I-Kue, and Kaidi Tatham. While the group has been together in name since 1996, output throughout the ‘00s tended towards numerous singles releases, side projects, and one-offs, with their debut full-length, BACK IN THE DOGHOUSE, finally arriving in 2006. Bugz continued to be an influential presence on the U.K. dance music scene, running a successful club night (Co-Op) and releasing high-profile remixes for artists such as Macy Gray, Jazzanova, and Zero 7.
