About Brian Stokes Mitchell

Artist Biography

Actor and singer Brian Stokes Mitchell has performed in many television and Broadway productions, including Man of la Mancha and Kiss Me Kate, for which he received a Tony award. A native of Seattle, Mitchell spent his formative years in San Diego performing with various theater groups. A move to Los Angeles in the late '70s brought him into contact with the entertainment industry, and numerous appearances in film and television followed, including a seven-year role on the medical drama Trapper John, MD. Although he has been featured in cast recordings, he released his self-titled debut solo album on RCA in 2006. ~ Matt Collar
