Bobby Caldwell, who picked up the guitar at age 12, was surrounded by music while growing up, thanks to his parents’ TV variety show, Suppertime.
∙ Boyz II Men, Jessie Ware, and Natalie Cole & Peabo Bryson have covered his signature song, “What You Won’t Do for Love,” which Caldwell first released in 1978.
∙ Boz Scaggs inspired Caldwell to write for other artists, resulting in such hits as Amy Grant & Peter Cetera’s 1986 chart-topping duet “The Next Time I Fall.”
