U.K. singer and songwriter Beth McCarthy mixes personal lyrics with atmospheric electronics and textured pop/rock arrangements that reflect influences like Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding. She released her more singer/songwriter-oriented debut EP, Northern Light, as a teenager in 2013 but later went viral with the jealousy-themed "She Gets the Flowers" in 2021. The next year's No Hard Feelings EP featured more relationship songs with her rock-tinged electro-pop sound, and she explored sexual identity on 2024's IDK How to Talk to Girls EP and subsequent singles like "All My Friends Are Hot."
