Pop-rap duo Bars and Melody, featuring rapper Leondre Deveries (Bars) and singer Charlie Lenehan (Melody), broke out as semi-finalists on the TV competition show Britain’s Got Talent.
• Devries and Lenehan met on social media and quickly joined forces as Bars and Melody. They auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 with the track “Hopeful,” a reworking of the 2005 Twista song “Hope,” featuring Faith Evans.
• The duo finished in third place on Britain’s Got Talent. After signing with Simon Cowell’s label, Bars and Melody released “Hopeful” as their debut single. It reached No. 5 on the UK charts.
• In 2015, the pair scored a Top 5 UK album with their debut album, 143.
• While balancing a heavy touring schedule throughout Europe, Bars and Melody have released three original LPs, including 2020’s SADBOI.
