About Baba Ali
Artist Biography
New Jersey native Baba Ali makes spirited, propulsive music that seamlessly blends post-punk, blues, disco, and several other genres of music. Initially active as a member of synth-funk/house duo Voices of Black, he released his first solo EP in 2017. Working with British musician Nik Balchin, Ali made his full-length debut with the energetic, thought-provoking Memory Device in 2021. The duo returned with second effort Laugh Like a Bomb in 2023.
