Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember nap time in kindergarten. I was imagining being a rockstar. I didn't really know what a rockstar did except rock out. I just loved imagining playing music on stage for an audience. That dream never went away.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ben Howard, I Forget Where We Were Bon Iver, Bon Iver, Bon Iver Silversun Pickups, Carnavas These albums encompass three moments of life altering music for me. They are the essence of nostalgia, and I'll always revisit them with adoration for how they changed my perspective on music and sound.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Snow (Instrumental)” I wrote this song at a time when I had no chance of getting it recorded. It began as an acoustic ballad, but I knew there was something deeper and more electric in its nature. When I finally was able to get it out, it became something entirely new.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My favorite moments as an artist are during the writing process. It is a private and introspective experience for me, but it feels like solving a secret riddle. Every song is something new that I can share with people who have never heard it before.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As a Colorado born musician, I live for the dream of playing Red Rocks. I can't imagine a more amazing place to perform. It would feel like the truest homecoming to perform on the stage where I have seen my favorite and most memorable shows.
