Creating lo-fi indie rock with mischievous lyrics delivered with deceptively bittersweet vocals, Anna Burch is an American alternative singer/songwriter from Detroit, Michigan. Her first official release was an eponymous split single with fellow Detroit artist Stef Chura in early 2016. The singer began earning comparisons to the sonic nature of artists such as Waxahatchee and Courtney Barnett before fellow Michigan-based musician Fred Thomas handed in some of her demo material to his label, Polyvinyl. This led to the attention of producer/engineer Collin Dupuis, who offered to help mix her songs. The finished result consisted of nine songs that became Burch's debut album, Quit the Curse. ~ Rob Wacey
