Hailing from Washington, D.C., Anees is singer, rapper, and songwriter whose soulful swagger and fusion of R&B, hip-hop, and rock helped him find a sizable online audience. Between 2020 and 2021, rap-soul songs like "Neverland Fly" and "Slip" put him on the map, but it was 2022's "Sun and Moon," a more romantic R&B-flavored track, that broke him to international audiences, particularly in the Philippines, where it hit number one.
