Amaranthe has alternated among three lead singers with contrasting styles: Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson death-metal growl, Jake E.âs âcleanâ vocals, and Elize Ryd soaring soprano.
â In 2012, Elize Ryd raised her profile when she toured and recorded with American power-metal band Kamelot.
â While some fans trolled Amaranthe on social media for having a female lead singer, others championed Elize Ryd, inspiring other women to follow in her footsteps.
â Amaranthe was named the Swedish breakthrough act of 2012 by Stockholm radio station Bandit Rock.
