About Amanda Reifer
Artist Biography
Bajan singer and songwriter Amanda Reifer merges elements of R&B, pop, hip-hop, Caribbean music, and more in her songs and performances. As leader of Cover Drive, she went all the way to the top of the U.K. singles chart with 2012's "Twilight," then leaned away from their bright, anthemic pop in favor of a patchwork of influences including smoky R&B when launching a solo career later in the decade with singles like "Ransom" and "S****y Day." With the more dance-oriented "CRAZY" (2022), she incorporated African and Caribbean rhythmic influences. Reifer charted internationally, including a Top Five placement on the U.S. Hot 100, with her appearance alongside Blxst on the Kendrick Lamar hit "Die Hard" later in 2022, leading to two Grammy nominations. She paid tribute to her Barbadian roots with her 2024 solo single "Colonize."
