Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started playing the saxophone at 7, but I sucked at it, so I just sang loudly into the saxophone hoping it would sound good. That’s how I realized singing was my thing.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, 22, A Million Rihanna, ANTI (Deluxe) Robyn, Body Talk Anti - has everything from raw feeling to cred to sick productions. Bodytalk - Robyn's so good at meaningful non-cheesy lyrics combined with dance music 22, A Million - I was shocked at how beautiful instrumentals could be so moving
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “My Name Next To Yours” ‘My Name Next To Yours’ will always be special to me. It was one of those unicorn songs that kind of wrote itself, after months of me not being able to find the right words to my feelings. The fact that other people liked it was an added bonus.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first slightly bigger performance. We had so many technical issues but it ended up being one of the most fun shows
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Have written a song on Billboard Hot 100, release a full length album, learn how to knit, get freakishly strong, get old & buy a house in the countryside and grow weed.
