Artist Biography
Allan Rayman was a Toronto construction worker before becoming a full-time musician.
∙ Mumford & Sons keyboardist/vocalist Ben Lovett was an early supporter of Rayman’s, signing the artist to his Communion Records label.
∙ His moody album artwork is a collaboration with creative director Ben Swantek, who created art for The Weeknd’s mixtapes.
∙ He was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2018 Juno Awards.
∙ Rayman credits his shadowy persona to the Christian Slater movie Pump Up the Volume, which is referenced on his albums Harry Hard-On (Slater’s DJ name in the film) and Christian.
