Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Experiencing Culoe De Song perform at his 21st birthday event was a transformative moment. It changed the way I connected with house music, it shaped how I wanted to express it in my own sets and what it meant to be part of this beautiful culture.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AJourneyOfMilez, Kwa Dumizulu - EP Culoe De Song, A Giant Leap Kabza De Small, Mthunzi, Isimo These works of art are perfectly written and produced. They are timeless spiritual sonic masterpieces that I have a personal attachment to and they mark very pivotal times in my life.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Words (feat. ZÉ)” This was my first collaboration with Zahné, yet she wrote words as if she had known me forever, those lyrics are her story but mirrored mine so perfectly.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I would say every stage I've had the blessing to grace has left a lot of fond moments. It always feels like one continuous experience for me, from one dance floor to the next and everyone is connected.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Certainly! so many songs to write, so much house to play and so many souls to dance with.
