Aidonia decided to pursue a career in dancehall after observing a sound clash between Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.
∙ In 2003, he recorded his first single, “Many a Dem,” on Young Blood, a record label founded by Mr. G.
∙ Aidonia’s first hit, “Lolly,” was included on VP Records’ Strictly the Best, Vol. 33.
∙ In 2006, Jamaican tabloid The Star named Aidonia Deejay of the Year.
∙ In 2014, he launched the One Voice Foundation and the Sheldon Lawrence Scholarship to provide financial assistance to the students of Jamaica’s Maxfield Park Primary School.
