This introspective, Singapore-born, Amsterdam-based neo-soul singer/songwriter employs her jazz-tinged voice to both delicate acoustic R&B and empowering 2020s dance-pop. After three years' service in an upbeat funky hip-hop act called MMLD, Abby Simone decided that her increasingly personal, confessional songs were more suited to a solo career. Teaming up with the Malaysian producer Cuurley, she spent the next two years perfecting material that would inform her debut EP, 2023's No Expectations.
