In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my parents got me an acoustic guitar for Christmas when I was like 6-7, I was so unbelievably upset because it wasn't an electric guitar. Now all I basically play is acoustic.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gregory Alan Isakov, This Empty Northern Hemisphere José González, Veneer Kings of Leon, Only By the Night I've been a long time fan of Gregory Alan Isakov since I was in middle school (Got me into Indie). Veneer is also up there, José González is a close runner up. Finally, "Only By the Night" - It's flawless. A masterpiece. KOL is my favorite band ever.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Everything's Alright (Sunshine)” This is a very meaningful song to me. It really feels like It was the first song I wrote where my thoughts and feelings on a topic/experience really came out of hiding. Fully recorded on my iPhone - Which is wild (And kind of stupid).
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think my first headline show I played in my hometown was quite memorable. Played my songs for the first time in front of 150ish friends, family, and fans. It was terrifying, but that's where I fell in love with performing music live for sure.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to go on tour, or open for one of my favourite artists. But I've always told myself to be comfortable and grateful for what I have done so far. I have loving friends, family and fans that support me. That alone means the world to me!
