Japanese hard rock band founded in 1981 by ex-Midnight Cruiser guitarist George Azuma and former Oz vocalist Carmen Maki. With Kinta Moriyama (bass) and Jun Harada (drums) completing the line-up, they adopted a style that incorporated elements of Motörhead, Van Halen and AC/DC, also veering towards thrash metal at times. By their third album, which saw them adopt a slightly altered name that gave their singer more prominent billing, they had moved into mainstream rock territory, and it appeared that vocalist Carmen Maki was striving to become the Japanese equivalent of Heart’s Ann Wilson.
