“We’re now up to the 45th mix in the series, and this one takes us on a true journey from daytime melodic house and sunset breaks to late-night Berlin techno energy,” John Digweed tells Apple Music as he presents his July 2025 mix. “It opens with two melodic tracks from NUAGE—‘Jump the Water’ and ‘It Sounds Like a Dream’—before BRVNOV’s ‘Hourglass’ lifts the energy. It’s been a real standout for me this summer: a breaks anthem made for open skies.” As ever, Digweed spotlights new artists alongside more established names in this month’s selection. “A big highlight this month is ‘Together’ by Spooky Cash-Cash, a rising UK name with Glastonbury, Wilderness, and gigs in Ibiza under his belt. He first dropped this track at Café Mambo last summer, and for me, it perfectly captures the emotion of the genre with sweeping chords and some powerful vocal samples that just work so well here. If you’re into this one, he’s got his own label, Ghost Habitats,” he says. “From there, the mix heads deeper and darker, wrapping up with a hypnotic Marcel Dettmann remix of Gregor Tresher’s ‘False Gods,’ bringing things full circle.”
