Though it took eight years between Nashville rapper Starlito and Memphis producer Don Trip’s Step Brothers THREE and 2025’s Step Brothers 4 Life, the prolific duo don’t skip a beat. In 2025 alone, Starlito dropped REGRETFULLY, while Don Trip dropped three of his own tapes. As such, there’s no rust on Step Brothers 4 Life, which kicks off with the ominous piano notes of “Madden Curse,” on which Starlito wastes zero time unveiling some of his signature insults: “Spin the bottle,” he raps. “Hope it lands on me so all y’all can kiss my ass.” Elsewhere, Don Trip cues up an old-school golden-age beat on “Mitchell & Ness,” giving Starlito plenty of room to reflect on personal trials and tribulations.
