There’s no rest for Atlanta mainstay Money Man. Following a 2024 that featured two celebrated full-length projects, Purple Heart and TMZ, the rapper returned in 2025 with Insomnia, which is apparently what it takes to churn out albums at the pace he’s currently setting. Just because these releases are frequent doesn’t mean they’re not quality, though. Opener “Cardio,” which features Rio Da Yung Og, is a classic ATL street anthem built around a quivering synth melody and bass that’s made for the club. On “Sparkin Sumn,” he gives the song some weight with swelling string patches that imbue it with serious urgency and grandiose ambition. “Cash Diet,” on the other hand, helps clarify why Money Man can’t stop working. Over an infectious piano melody, alongside Baby Money, he makes it clear that it ain’t cheap to be as fly as he is: “Four Seasons steak and broccoli/Damn, this shit fire/Fifty on the tire/See it and I buy it.”
