Prior to their official debut in February 2024, K-pop group NCT WISH was known by another name altogether: NCT Tokyo. As the final group of SM Entertainment project NCT, the sextet consists of four Japanese members (Riku, Yushi, Ryo, and Sakuya) and two Korean members (Sion and Jaehee) and was always imagined as a K-pop team for whom the Korean and Japanese audiences were equally foundational. With their first full-length Japanese album, WISHFUL, they solidify that intention. Released in the midst of the Japan leg of the group’s Asian tour in late 2024, WISHFUL has 13 songs, including lead single “Wishful Winter,” a seasonally appropriate ballad. Other new songs include “FAR AWAY,” “Touchdown,” “CHOO CHOO,” “P.O.V,” and “Our Adventures.” NCT Wish’s debut track “WISH” is here, alongside previously released songs “Songbird,” “Sail Away,” “Tears Are Falling,” “Hands Up,” “We Go!,” and performance track “NASA.”
