Wigan's Brit-pop heroes are back together a decade after splitting-up; conquering Glastonbury just before "Fourth," their comeback album, sees the light of day. "Love is noise," despite its rocking beat and it's "ooh-huh" effects, is far from earth-shattering; it doesn't reach the same melodic heights of anything included in their 1997 classic "Urban Hymns," nor their more spaced-out psychedelic echoes before that; but it nearly makes us forgive Ashcroft's beyond dull solo career and, as far as returns go, it's a truly decent track that will help the band cashing up on the nostalgic trend for everything 90's.  shazam
